Trivia [ ]
Design origin [ ]
Aguade is based on a marine iguana , a sea-dwelling reptile native to the Ecuadorian Galápagos Islands. The line's salt armor is inspired by the fact that marine iguanas expel excess salt from their bodies through specialized glands in their nostrils, which causes the salt to dry onto their heads and bodies, leaving them encrusted in salt.
Name origin [ ]
Aguade's name is derived from agua , Spanish for water, and wade .
