Arjibi absorbs light with its colored fins to produce energy. In bright light, it flits about energetically, so fast that film barely registers it as a blur.
Arjibi, along with its evolution, Royjibiv, was the final Pokémon concept added to the game. Its design wouldn't be finalized until much later, however.
Design origin[]
Arjibi is based on the optical illusion known as rods or skyfish. Its red, green and blue fins are colored as such since those are the three primary colors of an additive color model.
Name origin[]
Arjibi's name is a phonetic spelling of RGB, which stands for red-green-blue. RGB is the name of the color model used to display images on monitors and electronic devices.
