Trivia [ ]
Design origin [ ]
Early concepts and designs for Capig.
Capig is based on a guinea pig . Its fur pattern is reminiscent of a chullo , an Andean style of hat.
Discussion and conceptualisation of the regional rodent began not long after the earliest confirmations (or at least agreements) on the starter Pokémon designs. The role of 'early game regional rodent' was one of the last '/vp/ makes a PokéDex' roles to have an individual discussion thread seperate to the newly-founded general thread.
Name origin [ ]
Capig's name is a combination of cap and guinea pig .
