Trivia [ ]
Crawglock is based on the same creature as the Gen VI Pokémon Clauncher and Clawitzer . However, Crawglock was designed long before those two Pokémon were announced.
Crawglock and its pre-evolution learn an uncharacteristically large amount of Fire-type moves for a Water-type Pokémon. This is because pistol shrimps, the animal the line is based on, are capable of creating incredibly high temperatures when they use their specialized claws to "shoot" their prey with cavitation bubbles.
Design origin [ ]

Name origin [ ]
Crawglock's name is a combination of crawfish and Glock , a popular series of semi-automatic pistols.
