Dilophlora will commit every rock and plant in its jungle to memory. That way it can swiftly avoid any obstacle while chasing down its prey at high speeds.
Dilophlora and its evolution line were an alternative design for the Grass Starter Pokémon.
The Totter and Ignishell lines were also alternative designs for starter Pokémon.
Dilophlora's evolution line shares many similarities with Gilla's evolution line. They both start as single type species before eventually becoming dual type, they have identical evolution methods, and their final forms have the same base stat total. They both start off being based on modern lizards, while their final forms are based on extinct dinosaurs.
Design origin[]
Dilophlora is based on a theropod dinosaur, such as a Dilophosaurus or Deinonychus. Its feathery appearance is based on more recent findings that many dinosaurs were actually feathered.
Name origin[]
Dilophlora's name is a combination of Dilophosaurus and flora.
