Glocto’s molten innards form constantly shifting bubbles of glowing lava. This strange, yet beautiful phenomenon is visible from above the ocean’s surface.
Glocto was originally designed to look more like a lightbulb.
Due to its squid-like body and large whale evolution, many wanted Glocto to be quite large, akin to the giant squid.
Design origin[]
Glocto is based on a deep-sea jellyfish with transparent skin that glows due to consuming bioluminescentplankton. Its legs and general head shape are also reminiscent of squid. It also resembles a lava lamp.
Name origin[]
Glocto's name is a combination of glow and octopus.
