Early concept art for Indrolith.
Indrolith is based on an Indricotherium, a giant hornless rhinoceros-like mammal from the Oligocene epoch. It is also based on a Brontotheriidae, a similar animal with two horns from the Eocene epoch.

Indrolith's name is a combination of Indricotherium and monolith.
