Biography

Izzie and Rachel are sisters that run Staccato Gym, where they train their minds and bodies. Izzie, the Fighting-type specialist, is a realist who sees how brutal the reality of life and is more straightforward and grounded. Rachel, the Psychic-type specialist, is a daydreamer with their head in the clouds who likes to ask sophisticated questions and riddles. They are known to solve any problem and help people.

• Izzie & Rachel derive their names from the Spanish words izquierda for "left" and derecha for "right", in reference to the left and right hemispheres of the brain. In popular psychology, the hemispheres are often inaccurately generalized to perform specific duties, including the idea that the left side is responsible for logic and problem-solving, whereas the right side is responsible for creativity and emotion. This reflects the contrast between Izzie & Rachel's personalities.
