Kairoglyph is based on an Egyptian jackal and the mythical sphinx. The snake-like head on its tail is reminiscent of a chimera, another monster from Greek mythology.

Name origin[]

Kairoglyph's name is a combination of a corruption of Cairo, the capital of Egypt, and hieroglyph, the name for the letters of the ancient Egyptian writing system.
