Routes in Urobos

Legato Crossroads is a dusty ranching community located in northern Urobos. Befitting its name, Legato is located at the crossing of several major roads. To the west lies Route 4, and eventually Quaver Town. To the south lies Route 6, and eventually Ossia Island. To the east is Route 7, and eventually Dronia City. To the north lies Route 5, and eventually Starfall Peak (the location of both Starry Cave and the locked Abandoned Observatory).

Places of interest

Saloon

The saloon is located on the west side of the town. The player can purchase Fresh Water from the bartender. Ricardo can be confronted at the bar and challenged to a battle.

Legato Inn

The Legato Inn is a hotel located in the south-west corner of the town. The Inn is completely booked, but the player can still speak with the staff and guests.

Access to Route 6

Main article: Route 6

A herd of Coltergeist and Fantasmare block the road to Route 6 when the player first arrives. The Pokémon are badly agitated by a “bad wind” blowing into town, and a farmer and his son are trying to get them back in order. After the player defeats Ricardo, one of the Coltergeist disappears and farmer comments that one of the horses has even gone missing in the chaos.

After the player delivers the Starry Crystal to Northington, the horses calm down and the road is cleared. After this point, they can be found in the field to their west, wandering around. The farmer will comment both on the missing Coltergeist and that he has never seen them worked up like that before. The kid is beside him, excited to take one for a ride.

• The herd of Coltergeist and Phantasmare has one member missing after the player defeats Ricardo in the Legato Saloon. The implication is that Ricardo stole one of them while the ranchers had their backs turned.

Name origin

• Legato is a musical term in Italian that means tied together. It describes a type of musical articulation, with which notes are sung or played with a smooth connection between them. Legato Crossroads refers to how the town serves as a connection between Quaver Town to the west, the Abandoned Observatory to the north, Dronia City to the east, and Ossia Island to the south.
