Design origin [ ]
Early concept art for Machima.
Machima is based on something. It is meant to represent a more mineral-like being than its two counterparts .
Name origin [ ]
Machima's name is a contraction of Mahimata (a deity whose name means "Great Mother"). It also comes from machi (a healer and religious leader). In addition, all members of the Spirit trio have names that end with -ma , which comes from mama (common in the names of nature deities and goddesses).
