Design origin[]

Oarwish is based on both a shooting star and an oarfish. Conceptually, it is based on the idea of "wishing upon a shooting star".

It is a counterpart of Gyarados and Milotic, and is a more defensive/supportive version of them.

Name origin[]

Oarwish's name is a combination of oarfish and wish.
