Design origin[]

Pressaur is based on bituminous coal, also known as black coal, a high-grade coal that is formed after lower grade brown coal is compressed. Its shape also resembles that of a human heart.

Name origin[]

Pressaur's name is a combination of pressure and the suffix -saur.
