Rivalry
Flavor text Deals more damage to a Pokémon of the same gender.

Rivalry is an Ability. Nine Pokémon can have this ability.

Effect

In battle

Rivalry raises the base power of a bearer's move by 25% if the foe and the bearer have the same gender, but reduces its base power by 25% if the foe and the bearer have opposite genders.

If either the bearer or the foe is genderless, the move's base power is unaffected.

Outside of battle

Rivalry has no effect outside of battle.
